Title: 12-22-13 conditions
Post by: slabslayer on December 22, 2013, 11:27:20 AM
Did a drive by today around 10:30 this morning. The lake is 100% open water.  It'll be a little while for it to refreeze.  This wind is putting a hurtin on things.  It'll be second ice for this lake soon, though!  Here's a pic of this mornings conditions.

Did you happen to see if the area east of stroop is open? I think that's the name of that road. Far east end of the lake.

I didn't go that far, but everything off Reeder and Price roads was open, also all the backwaters that are landlocked, as well as all the area north of the bridge on Price was all open water. So I doubt any ice survived the warm spell.  I didn't have time to check Deer Creek, although I wanted to.  If it stays open thru Tuesday, I may take the flat bottom row boat up to Walborn Tuesday evening for crappie.

OK thanks saved me a drive. Took the ice shanty out and replaced with decoys. Weird year.
