Title: COLDEST DAY OF 2014
Post by: swedish nipple on January 02, 2014, 11:28:32 AM
Well Tuesday 1/7 is supposed to be brutaly cold and windy.
High temp of -2 and 20 mph winds.  :o
I have a large project at work starting on 1/8, so I have decided to take the 7th off and go fish.
Please, tell me that I wont be the only one out fishing on Tuesday.

I have the jiggin elbow real bad and have an increasing urge to scratch it.

Im gonna press my luck this saturday and atleast try to get on the ice.

I'm hoping to be on Nimi or Mogadore Tuesday. I'm going to rest until then and heal up since this snow will delay ice formation.  I doubt anything will be safe tomorrow. It's not worth it to risk further damage or surgery for 2-3 days. I'm really planning for Tuesday morning.

Salbslayer.

You mention Magadore and Nimi. Have you ever been on West Branch. Trying to find some who has fished it in hard water.
Yes it is looking  good  for next week finally

I can walk to WB from the house. It takes a lot for that lake to get safe. I've iced it a few times.

Never on ice, but tons from the boat. I know some great spots, but like strongpersuader said, it takes that lake a long time to freeze up safely.
