Managed one nice trout on the first drop then all dink gills. Ice was a foot thick in 6 fow. Thank god for my Nils. Veterans Park.

im not familiar with vetrans park, is that the one where the river is farther down the hill.?

It's in Mentor. Just moved to Mentor recently and it was my first time fishing it.

I thought you weren't allowed to ice fish that lake...any truth to that?

The ranger told me where the deepest part of the lake is. 4 guys on it including me earlier this week and I seen a shanty on it yesterday..

Got 3 nice trout, 2 bows and a brown. Veterans Park. 10-11 fow, all on the smallest pimple tipped with waxies. Lots of small gills, yet to find keeper gills.
