is there anyone fishing out around Cleveland or every body going to port Clinton.. im from akron and never fished erie before.. and I really don't want to drive that far for nothing.. cause I don't know the area. I do have a four wheeler were would I be able to get on the lake at and were is there parking ?

I live in Cleveland and drive either to Port Clinton or Pymie/Mosquito. Ive only fished this area for Steelhead through the ice though many do fish for smelt.   If you go west, you can park at Catawba State Park or Camp Perry, both places can get crowded early.

alright thanks for the reply ...so next question is after this warm up  how bad is the ice for taking a four wheeler out around those areas... also what lbs line or leaders do I need . I only ever fished inland lakes ... and what do I use for tackle .. gonna make a run up sunday most likely any info would be great... I don't have fish finding equipment so ill be winging it.
