Hello all I'm sure I'm not doing this correctly or posting in the right place just wanted to say that I am brand new to ice fishing never done it before would like to get into it. Wondering if anybody would be willing to mentor/teach me how to do it safely. My main concern is with not falling in the lake. I currently don't have any of my own stuff looking into buying a pole and some lures then later purchasing an auger and shanty. Any advice on what kind of lures to buy for what type of fish would be appreciated. I live in Mansfield/Ontario area and can easily travel to pleasant hill clearfork and Charles mill. If anybody is willing to help me out and possibly meet up and show me how to safely fish that would be awesome!
