Title: Ferguson Ice Survive the Warm Spell?
Post by: toadfish on January 13, 2018, 04:29:42 AM
Did the ice on Ferguson hold up through the rain and warm spell?  It was getting really wet on top on Wednesday and it stayed well above freezing until noon yesterday.  I want to try it Sunday 1-14-2018 or bresler if possible.  Thanks in advance for any ice or fishing reports.

I would be really careful trying it. A buddy of mine was there thur morning and the ice was holding but a city worker came up and told them that they were pumping water into it. I don't know what that will do to the ice but I'm sure its not good. I'm sure the main sheet survived but with warm temps, rain, and them raising the water level the edges are prob not in good shape if they are there at all. Let me know if you check it or find anything out.

Fished Ferguson 2-5 tonight 1-17-2017.  Edges seemed in pretty good shape and still 10" or so of ice.  I only caught 1 small perch but had lots of marks.  Not many guys fishing.  I fished 2 spots, near the NW corner and a 30' hole near the bank on the west side.
