Walked on ice 3 different places from south side to north side, could only find gills.
Might add that I only walked where it was no more than 4 foot deep!

Took a drive from west bank to east bank, northern route and was pleasantly surprised. There is very little white snow covered ice. Still quite a bit of open water and the majority is gray slush covered ice. Most channels were gray ice also. The only exception was the very east end of the lake, it was snow covered and white. My best guess is less than 5% of the lake has an insulating cover of snow.
Conclusion, in a week to 10 days, I think we are going to be on the ice!

Checked 4 channels on the north side and all between 1.5 and 2 inches. Hope this coming weeks weather doesn't tear it up.

Fished the whole area hard this morning from way up the creek  to the north through the dredged area and found absolutely nothing. Good luck, I hope you can find something.

Was out there this afternoon and the ice was fine. Fish weren't. Did catch 1 and heard another guy caught 1. Water was muddy and full of leaves and trash.

Mostly open water. Some channels still iced in.

DM, I was catching the fish along the edge of a dredged channel about 5-6 foot deep. Had some lookers about 4 foot off the bottom in some deeper water but they wouldn't touch the bait. Hoping for some crappie bites. Might try Indian Tuesday???
The guys at huffy pond only caught small bluegills.

I sure did.  Went back this afternoon and only caught 5. Had a few more lookers but they wouldn't take the bait. (DM, I'm the guy that walked up to you last week when you were fishing Coldwater creek.)

I only had about 4 or 5 wax worms that they ate up. Primarily hung a couple spikes on a moon glow ice jig.

Went around the lake this afternoon and didn't find a person on the lake.Well I had to try something and found the bluegills ready to eat on the north side from the first hole I drilled.. I probably caught 75 in a couple hours. Most went back down a different hole but I did take 25 home. Only caught one crappie, the smallest one I ever saw. It couldn't have been over 2 inches long. Now, where are the big crappies?

Didn't check it last night but just looking in the hole I'd say 7-8". Its solid.
