Well since last year i really started taking a interest in making my own ice rods.  I built one last year and it turned out pretty good.  So this is the first on this year with the new blanks.  Ended with about about 200 rod blanks for this year that are mainly Light and ML Action from 32in to 25in.  Im really hoping to get a good hang on these to start selling.  so far they coming out really nice and the green glows really nice in the sun.

this one is the L action and is about 30in long with metallic blue wrap.  i really like this rod.  only have about 20 of these blanks which is a same cuz i want more lol.

Let me know what you think.  started another one last night and should finish it tonight.

Well i had a whole bunch of the material left after i made mine for my ice rods so i made extra to try to help out some other people and to put down at my dads bait shop.  I think they turned out pretty good.  only issue i found is 1 of my rods has a pretty long last eyelet that is like 1.5in tall and i have to work it a lil to get it to fit.  It does fit though.  i seen online these are going for 6 plus shipping.  Im looking for 3 bucks plus shipping.  can ship usps priority or first class. 

I have 2 lengths right now(as that is what my rod lengths are) but i can make them custom if you would like.  just takes a lil bit of time.

Now i have melted all ends so they should not fray.  If it ever does happen its a easy fix with a lighter.

seen this the other day on facebook and wondering if anyone of you have seen this before?  thought it was kinda interesting.

im new to buckeye but i will be back there next week for work and wanna try to catch some crappie.  we drove around it the other week and only found 1 spot on the south east side of the lake, that is across a bridge right before you get to a major intersection.  had a keep out sign but it was packed.

anywho, if anyone could help me out that would be great.  also what kind of lures and etc they would be biting on b/c im  out of my element down here lol.

Went out yesterday to a farm pond that is very private and has some nice fish in it.  im glad i know the elderly couple that owns it.  In the summer i was catching 12 - 14in crappie all day with some big channels and bass.  been wanting to fish this for bluegills once the ice hit and im glad i did.  paid off very nice.  4 of them are over 8in with the biggest being 8.5in.  what fun.  cant wait to go back again this monday and get a few more:)

well im trying lima lake today, if ya see me stop me and say hey.  ill be carrying around a orange fish buckets an a auger on a drill.

well i am finally gettting around to posting up my pics of the trout i caught out at lima lake.  caught them on a pink ant with wax worm.  hope to go out and get a few more before the ice comes off.  work with a few fisherman that like trout lol.

might try to go out on sunday.  anyone else going out??
