Just want to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving, be safe on the roads, I can think of something I'd rather be doing than stuffing my face with turkey on my couch but I can wait (inpatiently lol). Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Went out just to see how bad this weather has made the ice, lots of open water from the banks reaching as far out as 20' in some spots.   Not sure if the ice past the water is safe as I could not get to it regardless of where I went. Started south near the main basin across from the beach and worked my way north to Indian run just north of the horseshoe rd boat ramp. The weather forecast for the following 15 days looks pretty grim for the remaining ice but February is right around the corner and hopefully it will bring plenty of icy low temps. Ok everyone the lake where I checked is good to go. Not sure if it's completely locked because I didn't check the entire lake but I started spudding at the horseshoe rd boat ramp (technically Sherwood rd) and saw a small group of guys fishing the northeast cove (Indian run, my access) which was going to be another checkpoint for me, a good 4" of ice in the coves and a few fish on the ice. Access to Indian run and the horseshoe Sherwood boat ramp is open. Remember to always use proper safety equipment and have fun! Tight lines!

Hey everyone! Another year is nearly over but the ice season is about to begin! I havent been on much until today and im sorry for that, so to make up for it, in a day or two I'll begin checking ice on the lake once I know its thick enough to spud a path and start checking.

I'm gonna go to Delaware this weekend to check the ice and if its thick enough I'm gonna punch some holes and make a weekend out of it... Anybody interested in joining me???

The weather here in central Ohio is making for a difficult ice season (meaning there isn't any). But being close to Canada and the colder weather, I'm hoping that Erie will freeze enough for a trip or 3.
Has the weather been better for Erie ice or is it as bad here in central Ohio???

I'm gonna be hitting alum a lot more than I did last season, are there any tips, tricks or info of any kind that anyone is willing to share??? If you dont want to share publicly you can pm me. I've been targeting crappie a lot through the ice but now I'm ready for a challenge, I figure saugeye would be a good start and maybe muskie through the ice would be great but I'll stick to saugeye for a bit so any tips to get them eyes up would be much appreciated!

The ice ice slowly melting on del lake and soon we'll b back on open water but dont be afraid to get in touch with me to do some open water fishing, anybody fish the trout releases?
