« on: June 05, 2022, 07:51:04 PM »
Bobby went home yesterday. He was so anxious he left at 12:01am. Talked to him yesterday and he was getting settled in. He still has to do physical therapy 3 times a week. Glad he finally made it home.

He has his phone now. You should be able to text him anytime. Not sure of his PT schedule but he gets lunch at noon so you could call then or he probably gets supper around 5 or 6 so anytime after that should be fine. The last time he called me was around 6.

Bobby is getting moved to Prestigious Nursing Home in Marysville. He will still be on antibiotics for his infection and is only getting 1 liter of oxygen. Glad he will be getting physical therapy again. He's another step closer to home. He sure has gone through the ringer.

Sorry it's taken me so long to post. Bobby was back to his normal Mon. His breathing is good, 2 liters of oxygen during the day and 3 liters at night. They quit giving him blood pressure meds and yesterday it was 130/90. He gets 2 strong antibiotics for the pneumonia and blood infection. He is back to eating solid food. He is still in ICU because they don't have a regular room to move him to. Bad thing is he doesn't get physical therapy except sitting in a chair. He will probably be at OSU  for 4 or 5 days and then get moved either back to select or a nursing home in Woodstock. He had an EKG today but no results yet. At least he bounces back quickly, just wish they could figure a way to stop these episodes. He keeps telling Cathy he's tired of looking at hospital walls and is ready to go home. I can believe it since he's been in over 80 days.

General Discussion / Major setback for Bobby
« on: April 10, 2022, 09:57:57 AM »
Bobby had a major setback this morning. He was transferred to OSU at 3 this morning. He was having trouble breathing and his blood pressure kept dropping. Looks like he has pneumonia and an infection somewhere else they can't find yet. He is bloated and they need to figure why. They are giving him more oxygen no. Don't know anything more yet. Will post more when I know more. Really sucks cause he was doing so good.

General Discussion / Saw Bobby today
« on: April 03, 2022, 08:00:51 PM »
I saw Bobby today. He looks really good. He has good color and a great attitude. He had therapy yesterday since he didn't have it Mon. First session he walked 33 ft and second session he walked 85 ft using a walker. He also did ti  chi. Tomorrow he will relearn how to dress himself and take a shower plus his regular therapy. He said to tell you hi Joel. He has problems getting up and his right arm is weak  but they say the weakness is due to covid. Glad he his doing so good. He is determined to get well quick so that will really help.

General Discussion / Bobby Green update
« on: March 29, 2022, 09:53:35 PM »
They removed his Trac today and moved him to the rehab floor. He had solid food today, a pot pie. He can feed himself now. He will get rehab 4hours a day, 5 days a week for 2 weeks. If he needs more rehab after the 2 weeks, he will have to go to a nursing home. If he doesn't need more rehab, he can go home. It's amazing the progress  he's made the last 2 weeks. Go Bobby go. 👍

Change in plans. They are downsizing his Trac tube first before they move him. Glad they are being careful. They want to make sure nothing will happen and he can breathe with no problems. Won't move him for another week or two. He ate yogurt and ensure yesterday. He fed himself the yogurt. They put the feeding tube in at night but remove it during the day. They downsized his Trac tube yesterday and will keep doing it until they can remove it. He will be moved Mon to the respiratory floor. That way they can keep a good eye on him.

Bobby doing great. He is only getting 4.5 liters of oxygen. His Trac is capped off and they are talking about moving him to a nursing home in Woodstock Mon or Tues. He is getting thickened ensure to eat and they have removed his feeding tube. Hope they will remove his Trac before they move him but not sure yet. He has sleep apnea and has trouble wearing the cpap  mask. They are going to try something else so we'll have to wait and see.

Bobby is doing great. They are capping off his Trac during the day and only using the mask at night. He still has oxygen tubes in his nose during the day. He gets 4-5%oxygen. They started feeding him thickened food again and drank sweet tea a few different times today. He was able to unwrap his straw and hold his cup himself. He can use a walker and stand for 5-10 min. Cathy said with his trac capped off, he can be understood and he was talking up a storm today. He had one big cough and shot his trac cap across the room and everyone in the room got a kick out of it. He also coughed up a bunch of crap, which is good. He also swallowed 2 pills without having to crush them up in his food. Glad he is making so much progress. Hope he continues getting better at the rate he is going.

Bobby is doing better today. 😊 He is off the ventilator again and on a Trac oxygen mask. He was in a good mood and has been coherent speaking for a while. Hopefully it was just the elevated blood gases that caused his off the wall comments. He can have ice again but no liquids. No pureed food yet. Moving forward again. Yeah!!!
