Fished 7am to 1 today, 3 small eyes and about 12 nice crappie. Perch Vibe got all the fish. Was a tuff bite today for sure.

1/6 Ended up with 4 decent eyes , lost another decent one at hole, threw 3 small ones back, and a few nice crappie also. Perch Vibe did best. I’ve been trying to post pics but It won’t let me.

I was thinking about starting out of 305 sat and see how it goes, if no good head to North side for Sunday.

I started at noon Saturday and caught 10 decent eyes before dark. Sunday I started at daybreak and had my limit by 8:30 and caught a few more before the bite shut off at 11. Gold Vibe in 3/16 oz was the best lure. The eyes were holding tight to the bottom but were hitting very aggressively.

Three of us managed 23 eyes with the biggest about 20" and the rest about 17-18". A couple of crappies with a 14" as biggest. PK spoons with minnow head got most fish. All fish were released. A lot of water on the ice. Aggressive jigging seemed to be the ticket. Use caution if going out.

I have fished the south and north end in the last week, and the ice is around 5". Take spud bar and check things for your self. I've only fished in a couple of areas.

FISHUSA is awesome. Fast shipping and great customer service. Any order over $50 is free shipping. A lot of my orders have come in a day or two with regular shipping selected. I order all of my fishing gear through them, the prices are hard to beat.

As a walleye guy, I like the bottom zoom on the Vex and the Flx 28 is a great unit, with the automatic depth and digital readout of depth, great features for sure. Vexilars are great flashers and very reliable.

Pizza wrapped in nonstick foil. Can't have the cheese sticking to the foil. Shelter smells like a pizza oven. 😀
