Ice Gear for Sale / Deluxe Ice Shanty
« on: January 14, 2015, 09:21:54 AM »
Shanty is one I built a couple years ago and have had it in a barn since then. It is 4X6 and you can stand up in most of it (6ft in rear) Can fish 3 but is set up for two. Well built and has been painted with gray exterior house paint since picture (This was when I first had it put together. It has steel runners and half canvas top to make it lighter. Need room for storage now ($250 OBO!). Located in Castalia, Ohio and can get more pictures this weekend if necessary. Fits well in truck bed and could make a great permanent shanty for anyone!

General Discussion / Asking for some collegiate support-Fishing!
« on: January 17, 2014, 02:20:40 PM »
Hey guys I am asking for a little help here for some love of bass fishing as I know many of you guys fish bass tourney's etc. I am in my second year here at Bowling Green State University (3.4gpa) and my second year in the BGSU bass club. We are a small group but I will be officially fishing with the team this year in quite a few tournaments. I am asking for help as cash donations to be a sponsorship for our club. This would go towards travel, tournaments, and other items and in return we can support the business by putting their logo on our jerseys, supporting them by word of mouth, and supporting them by buying from their business. If anyone here is able to help please let me know and it would be much appreciated. If you are curious anymore about the club here is a little background and what we have planned for this upcoming year

General Discussion / Looking forward with this weather?
« on: January 12, 2014, 03:45:01 PM »
I am a believer in weather.com, my local news, and johndee.com. This video from weather.com does not look too promising. Just curious how everyone thinks their local ice will hold up?

Taking a break from duck/goose hunting and have fished heavy the last three days. Took a limit thurs and saturday with only a half dozen big crappies on friday. Scouting has been key and the crappies are deep! Ice is 6-8 inches, very nice! (25 is a "panfish" limit there)

General Discussion / 4 day warm up coming
« on: December 17, 2013, 10:14:24 AM »
Hate to be the negative nancy but everything I'm seeing is showing at least a warm up of 4 days with a another cold spell behind it. We are also supposed to get rain showers on 3 of these days with a possible snow mix in there. Temps will be floating around the 46deg mark on the warmest day. I cannot find an exact amount of rain in the forecast but we have about 10 inches of snow on the ground here... What do you guys think this will do to the ice? I was going to try to get out this weekend but I may be trekking it to michigan? Either way lets keep our fingers crossed, were off to a good start!

General Discussion / I saw ice today!
« on: November 12, 2013, 11:21:54 PM »
Just to get you guys a little excited today....
I was at Bass Pro in Rossford and for those of you that have been there, the small pond near the building was covered in a thin sheet. Only a couple feet deep but it is not tiny.
Good news! Sixty this weekend then back to this after that, I can live with that in November!

Out Of State Ice Fishing Trips / Who's Going North This Weekend?
« on: February 19, 2013, 01:47:34 PM »
I have been fishing in MI every weekend for the past month. I've only had a couple days that were good but it is still decent ice and only about an hour drive from the state line. Seems like St. Clair is a good option and a few guys are going/have been there (sorry I forgot to call you dan) What is everyones plan for the weekend? I have never fished St. Clair but it would have to be better than the inland lakes im on.... If we could get a few of us together I have a couple friends that could go and we could make a day trip out of it! it's not over yet! I can text (at school full time) or possibly talk on the phone or we can set something up on here! give me a shout 419707twofoureightseven
