Cuyahoga valley / indigo lake
« on: April 11, 2015, 08:03:08 AM »
been going down there to fish lately .. surprised to see the size of bull gill down there and perch ... so question is with the water so clear what line would be best .. I mean clear water I was set 5' with spilt shot down four feet and casting out from shore 10-15' and can see split shot under water .. so im guessing it is spooking fish. any tips for fishing water that clear ?

well I went to bait store in Cuyahoga falls yesterday  to get bait to head down to valley . I ask for minnows lady calls me over says check this out . the guy outside just brought in a crappie almost 17" and weighted 2lbs and change. caught out of the Cuyahoga river behind water works. pretty cool biggest crappie I ever seen! funniest thing was his kids they were a excited jumping around! I would love to hear the fish store they tell about that fish in years to come lol!

Nimisila / fished
« on: January 22, 2015, 05:55:16 PM »
well been out several times this winter .a few to the camp ground area. my question is... does anyone think the ice is safe in the land locked area that is next to drive that goes onto the camp ground?
I personally haven't really had to much success fishing. I did how ever get 3 perch at 9" one of them was over 10" . that's a first for me to get keeper perch. other than that I have only gotten a hand full blue gills. wish like everyone else they were bigger almost seemed like I was doing surgery when cleaning them. also would like to know what are the hot color pin mins  people  are using . and as far as perch go are they hot for minnows or something else...
I found this site a couple days ago and its great. thanks to the guys who give ice up dates. you are life savers!
I plan on going out with an uncle of mine this sunday. any help would be appreciated color, depth ....

 thanks

where exactly is the deepest part of the lake if anyone would like to share I would be grateful. its been yrs since I had time to fish. but fished magadore growing up with dad and uncles. I would like to get out on ice this yr as it is the closest lake to my house. also I want to say magadore bait is a good place for your ice fishing needs. was just there the other day and I must say  was impressed with the selection he had .

« on: January 22, 2015, 05:30:47 PM »
hello, stopping in to introduce myself. its been many yrs since I have fished. but I did manage to get out several times this year.. with working 3 rd shift  and running my own lawn care biz I never had time plus none of friends do it. I have time now and am loving it ..I think I might have something wrong with me cuz I cant get enough. I originally tried to go to a small pond by nimi this summer but is been developed and there houses all around it. so I went to nimi got a couple of blue gill..first time there  it is a beautiful lake and I have been out a dozen times to ice fish
