Bad news.    The lake is 98% open water. That includes C-5.  The wind has opened up some of what had previously frozen. I was hopeful for a shot before rain Saturday night. Not here! Maybe some small ponds or Mogadore at Palm or CLR in the next day or so. We'll see.  I tried, auger and rods were in the truck, but not able to do it.

its locked up next to portage bait and there is always perch there close . but I didn't check how thick..

Couldn't even stand on it with one foot on shore. Maybe a lightweight could, but at 200 pounds I didn't have a chance. I was really desperate to try it, but just not safe yet.
