BBTinker and I hit Nettle again today. Fished from 9:30 to 2:30. Fished in 20' of water not far from the open water East of the boat ramp. Started out slow with some small perch and crappie, with a few 9 to 10" crappie on waxies. Then the fish just shut down; plenty of lookers and followers from the bottom to 4' below the ice. Threw everything at them including the kitchen sink and no takers; not even trying to strip bait. Used minnows, waxies, spikes, plastics. Went large, medium, small and micro with no luck. White, silver, glow, metal flake, pink, red, black, orange, flo green, aggressive jigging, subtle jigging, and dead stick; all of no use. But still a warmer day on the hard water with 5" of clear ice covered by 2" to 3" of snow. Water was murky with Micro Vu only seeing about 1'...
