Grand Lake St Mary's Ice 1-9-2016

There is about 2" of ice on glsm on 1-9-2016.  Recent warm up and rain has it sloppy and soft.  Hopefully it will get cold before snow comes in.  Still lots of open water too.

Lake opened up overnight 1-9-2016 with over freezing temps and high winds.  Hopefully the wind drops along with the temps today.  There is probably still ice on some channels.

Single digit temps locked things back up, not sure how thick.  With a couple inches of snow in the forecast tonight, the safe ice may not happen before the rain Friday.  Just hope the snow and rain both don't happen, and the warm temps don't last long.  Looks like this will be a shot season.
