Went out to Mosquito.  Main lake body still open with waves.  If there's no wind tonight, it may sheet over and begin to build.  I'm thinking Sunday at the earliest for fishing.  Checked a few bays, some had 1" and less, one had 1.5".  Maybe Friday.

Warm up thursday and Rain coming in Friday! Maybe next week! Supposed to get cold again!

Today won't be warm enough to lose the ice that was made last night.  Won't lose ice overnight.  Rain tomorrow will melt any snow on top of the ice.  We may lose a little ice, but with all the snow melted, the ice that will be made from there should be nice and strong.  I think I'll be able to hit some bays Sunday.  Hope the main lake is ready by mid week.

Mid lake is still sketchy, but is totally locked up.  Bays are fishable, but I still spud just to make sure.  I'm planning on spudding the main body off of the cemetery on Wednesday afternoon and planning on my first walleye trip of the season.

Mosquito is good to go.  Went out of 305 this morn and the ice was 4-6" all around. Caught a dink on a Vibe then landed a beautiful 22" female on a no.5 Rippn Rap.  She had a five inch bluegill in her stomach!  Not another hit all morning.  No crappie to be found.  The roadbed was loaded with folks as was the causeway.  Reports from others were pretty consistent.  The bite was on early then dropped off quick.  Figure it will probably pick back up tonight but I had to git home...
