Prefished today, a lot of places with 3" of ice, and with temps at 55 right now and not getting under 40 tonight, we are out

I'm on long lake now,5" clear black ice,lots of people fishing,no worries

Tournament rules question. What are the launching points? Are we all leaving from the bait store or the odor lot? Or can we drive to the north end of long and the south end of north? Just want clarification. Thank you.

We got on them pretty good and we didn't see anyone fishing long besides a few peoplewe wasthere all day on the east side of the lake

It may be 5” in the immediate area where you are but at least two people have posted now about finding areas with only 3” to 3 ½”  on Long Lake and I personally know of two other people that have found those or similar areas.  Please do not get people overconfident.  Those without firsthand knowledge of the ice on Long Lake specifically where they are planning on going need to be very careful with the warm temps, sun and wind combined.

Just came off long lake the ice that was there is holding up well,5-6 inches clear. But as we all know THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS SAFE ICE!! I got similar reports from the guys coming off north reservoir. There are some areas of 3-3.5 so we must use common sense and be careful. The tournament will proceed as scheduled,good luck and see you in the am.

We were planning on coming but ius being new to the sport just don't feel comfortable going out there. Was hoping to make them all, but we'll shoot for the next one if we get some more ice!

What a day for a tournament 50+ degrees and the ice is gonna hold up nicely and allow us to finish the day, but I do feel the winds of change blowing! Thanks to all who joined us and good luck!

And a special thanks to jerry at long lake baits he has been fantastic. He really went out of his way to help us out. And I would also like to add he has some of the liveliest minnows ive seen in a while.
