Final dock tourney?

Any idea one when the final dock tourney will be?

My guess,and this is only a guess , that it will take place sometime end of march.

Lets see how the weather performs this week. We will not have one before the weekend of the expo which is February 14th. If we dont have safe ice for the erie trip the next weekend we will hold a regular dock tournament and then the championship event.

With the fat lady singing, I was wondering about the final tournament. I fished the docks from 2:30 till dark with only catching one short crappie on a dead stick with a gold jig head. That was Saturday.

Dave mentioned this coming Saturday for the last tournament. I'm sure he'll post info soon if that's still the plan. We fished it till about 1 quackpot, disappointingly slow fishing. Had some decent afternoons during the week but yesterday was a major bust.

I think it would be nice to do the final tourney in the evening. At least that way maybe there's a chance we'll catch a few. I don't know if I could force myself to come up and fish another morning there. Anyone else agree?
On a side note I got 9 big crappie at rocky fork last night and a few more this morning

With the pizza party afterwards it would make it tough for the people that drive a distance. I don't catch them either way. I was told Saturday might be the day and heard they got some yesterday morning but not many. Either way it will be great to meet up with everyone again.

I understand with the closing ceremonies it'd be tough for the afternoon. The 330 to 530 time period was good tonight. NO MUD DOGS Andy!!!

Hmm methinks there's a bait collecting plan here? Will the saugeye go for pepperorni tipped jigs? How about the crappie going for mushroom and black olives?
