I just moved down to Columbus from Wisconsin and am hoping to do so ice fishing on Buckeye Lake this weekend.  Does anyone have any recommendations on an area of the lake that will have solid ice by Saturday, and would be worth checking out - Looking to drop down a few tip ups and jig for some gills.  Any suggestions?

Appreciate any advice anyone can supply.

Cheers!

Welcome andy thats a sad move to make for an ice hound but hey it makes you appreciate it that much more...look at history post on buckeye section you can see alot dont be afraid to go back far as 4 yrs ago but you should hiy the main stretch between the island with a house and cranberry marsh park n walkout from fairfield beach target close to marsh for gills n set ur tips a lil out for other creatured hope this helps
It goes without saying if its anything worth doing might as well do it right
