Indian Lake Fishing/Ice Report 1/21/18
« on: January 21, 2018, 04:54:52 PM »

Fished a couples of spots around on the South side (no fish). I finished at the Pony Inland side of Long Island and met up with Bobby (Quackpot). Caught a few dink gills. Fished on 9” of ice over 3.9’ of water. The water was stained at Long iIsland but clear at the South side of the lake. The ice had started to deteriorate at the edges but was safe at the points I used to get on the lake. There’s lots of standing water on the surface of the lake. At Paradise Point I didn’t have to drill holes. Holes drilled last night we’re still open. The mouth of Mound-wood is opening up making it dodgy to use to get around to Dunn’s pond.

I’ll keep an eye on the ice this week and post conditions....

Fished Dunn's today.Edges were still good but a lot of water on the ice. Caught 3 keeper eyes with 1 short and 5 keeper crappies, all caught on a 3/16 oz. pink obsidian vibe in 4 1/2 ft. of water. Buddy caught 1 keeper eye and 2 shorts and 1 largemouth. Hope this isn't the end but time will tell.

We started the day fishing at North fork. Water was dirty. Could not see your vibe 3 inches under the water. Ended up moving to long island pretty quickly.

Found the gills... Had to weed through them though. Caught 150-200 between 3 of us and we ended up with 41 keeps.
