Met a friend at a Local Lake and hit the ice. The snow made the drag awful then my sled which I’ve  known needed repair fell totally apart out on the lake. That’s my punishment for being too lazy to fix it right in the first place. The fishing was dinks city and slow for me especially since I wasn’t able to move after the sled incident. My friend was super Mobil and did much better than Me. Ice was 8” with 5-7” of snow on top conditions were clear only thing I caught was a few small gills and small perch. It really sucked when I left making multiple trips carrying all my gear back to my truck. Good thing I was only about 150 yards away! Lesson learned I’m fixing the sled up right today!

It’s all my fault I knew it wasn’t ice worthy when I pulled it out. You know how it is when you just want to go fish I said to myself “it will make it one more trip “  oh how wrong I was! I never realized how much unnecessary crap I carry around out there until I had to carry it back. It never was a problem when both my skis were attached 😊.  6 Trips back and forth to the truck lesson learned! And I’ve decided I need to stop carrying so much stuff out most of which I never use.

I hear ya on the drag out , I think I have too much junk also but if I don't take it then I will get out and say dam wish I had that with me  lololol...  the snow is just dry and hard to drag if the top would melt some and re freeze it would be a cake drag.

I know about the gear.  Last few trips I’ve really reduced my load.  Ask Rik, yesterday was “bare bones” for me.  Since the back injury I’ve been forced to go light and I kind of like it.

Me too.  I tried Messing in the admin center and didn’t fix anything.  If you click on the pics it enlarges and rotates them properly, but the thumbnails are screwy.

No pics of the crash and burn lol 😂 . I should have taken one to remind me of why I need to keep my stuff in proper working order! I like you haul a gypsey wagon 😂😂😂 once I bought that big stupid otter shack and built that sled I started hauling way more stuff than I need! My friends always make comments like “are ya moving in” . But it’s nice to have all the comforts of home when I get the spot right first shot out of  the box it’s great for sitting down on some fish that are stacked on some spot. Not so much fun if I gotta search for fish.

One thing about the pictures I’ve found is that I must turn off the Live Photo’s on my iPhone to post them here. Sometimes that’s not enough but if I take a screenshot of my pictures then crop them down they seem to load fine.

I just email them to myself and that let's me resize them and use my tablet to post them. Trying to do them from my phone never works. But I have a galaxy
