Before you run out to purchase a shanty, determine your ice fishing style:

 ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS:

 - mobile or stationary type ice fisher
 - hand pulling or ATV hauling your shanty across the ice
 - your age and overall weight of the shanty
 - solo fisherman or always with a partner
 - sufficient room in your vehicle for transport?
 - seat preferences\
 - your budget

Also, something to consider is resale value. I used to own a Clam Corp 2000 that I purchased for $179, it was easy to sell at $125 because the value was there on the front end. Yesterday I purchased a Frabill Refuge for near $300 and although I am not planning on selling anytime soon, if I wanted to, would have a hard time finding a buyer in that range for a used shanty.. just something to keep in mind. :)

Got My Nanook together and I am pretty much a sit in one ore two spot type fisherman.  If i find a good spot I will stay ther quite a while.  Have a manual auger so I get tired after 6 or 7 holes.
