Called the causeway bait store and the lady told me they are still fishing of the cemetery. She said reports of 8 inches of ice still :)

I fished sunday north of cemetary, ice was in great shape, solid 6". Caught mostly perch and crappie. The perch have been real nice size. It might be a go for another weekend, ice has held up nice.

Called the Causeway again today and there are still guys out fishing. They said ice was 5-6 inches. Headed out tomorrow after classes. Looks like tomorrow and maybe Saturday then its all over.

Fished last night 3-10:30 caught nice gills and some really nice crappie. One crappie was pushing 14in the others were all about 12in. The gills were all nice size to. Fishing was steady the whole night and were still biting good when we left. Fished north of the cemetery. Ice was a solid 7in but the shoreline was horrible. Planked going out but on the way in the plank broke through the ice and I got a wet foot. Ended up with 35 nice gills and crappie between two of us. That's definitely it for ice fishing Mosquito. I would not go out today unless you want to get wet or take a boat to good ice.
A few of the nice crappie. My buddy had another nice 6 like that to.
