Title: Snow Snow go away
Post by: HardWater Junkie on January 12, 2012, 09:38:25 PM
Here at my house in NE Ohio they are calling for 1-3 inchs tonight and 2-4 tomorrow. All that snow isnt going to help things out. I hope they are wrong about the snowfall totals.

One good thing is that it has to get cold to snow, which also will make ice. Unless you already have some ice, unlike those of us down here. We are getting some snow, a couple of inches, but it's cold and hopefully making ice!!! ;D

Better than rain, snow will blow off with this wind and still make ice.

Very little snow here in Stark county!  Should build ice on every pond now.  I saw slushy ice covering small lakesa and ponds coming home from work yesterday.  I bet by next friday we might have safe ice on our ponds up here.  I'm heading towards Cleveland today.  Usually more snow up there.  I hope we get to drill soon on account of all this!

I live in Randolph and we only ended up with 1-2 inchs last night. they are calling for another 1-3 today. Hopefully they are wrong and it doesnt snow at all. when I stepped outside it was nice and cold. I hope this cold will stick around.

Agreed, snow not as bad as they said last night here in Canton either.  Looks like more coming today though.  But if the wind keeps up, it shouldn't stick except maybe et the edges.  Don't matter though, I'd just use a board to span the edge and get on the  ice.

Good to get it now, rather than when you have 2" of new ice. At least this way it's only cooling down the water.

Once the wind dies down the shallower lakes will lock up quickly.
