General Discussion / Re: Ice Cleats

HT Enterprises makes an economical set, sold @ Walmart for about 7.00. If ya wear large boots, sz. 12-13, get the SGT 2 size. These creepers don't have heel spikes but will keep ya upright and believe me, it only takes a second to bust your noggin. It's no fun tryin to fish with a knot on the back of your head and it's throbbing. These come off your boots real easy so your not walking in the house or the store with cleats on, they get a little pissy !!!! ::) Mike

Do yourself a favor and spend the cash on a tub style ice sled. Tried that kids sled stuff and you'll spend more time picking up stuff than what it's worth. A tub style is alot heavier duty, lasting alot longer. You can get a small jetsled for around 60.00, medium size is around 90, larger ones are 125.00, magnums are 175.00. I use mine deer season also to haul deer ahen needed. Put a set of ski's on the bottom so they don't wear out very fast too. Mike

I've seen them in action.  Very well made and not a gimmick!  The guy that had one set it up behind him in his popup hub shelter while he fished two poles in side by side holes. It served him like a tip-up.  He showed me how to set the sensitivity on it for bluegill.  As we sat there watching , it tripped and he reached behind him and reeled in a medium sized gill.  I was very impressed with it and will be ordering one this season.  It also folds up compact and fits in a 5 gallon bucket with all your rods. It wasn't plastic or cheap in any way, should last a long time. My 2 cents.

Must have been a Quickfish outfit. Jaw jackers are deffinately plastic, believeme, I got 2 for my B-day. Mike
