Tried east of Marina and deeper water south of Marina this morning. Ice seemed okay at 4" to 5" thick, but a little thinner in narrows. No bites - only had artificials (plastics). Beautiful day to be outdoors.
I tried New London Saturday 3/1. The ice was beautiful..could've ice skated on it. Had a slow day fishing - started at 8:00AM and quit at 1:30. Caught 2 small perch and a 9" Rock Bass on wax worms. Talked to one guy who caught 6 small mouth bass using minnows.
