Title: Pro's Pointer 1-24 (Cold weather tip)
Post by: wballard77 on January 24, 2014, 08:43:36 PM
If you have been fishing this week you'll appreciate this.

So you go out bright and early drill a few holes, fish for a bit and then decide to move. Then you go to drill your next set of holes, and your auger doesn't cut from all of the ice build up. Well lets face it chipping ice off of your auger stinks! Ive tried wax, Pam spray... you name it. Then I bought a can of (DuPont Teflon Snow and Ice Repellant) @ Lowes. and by gosh it works.

thanx just ran into that while fishing with my bud , he hasn't iced but a couple times and was banging my drill on the blades to free the ice so they would drill   aaaaahhhhhhhhh  :P  I just had 2 explain that it would kill the blades  :-X :'(  I usually clean my drill by flushing in the new hole before putting on the cover...so I think I will try it... ;D
