Quick question. Do you know the times that they are open? I can't call at the moment and their website doesn't say.

I've never ice fished Springfield, but if your going for crappie/ panfish I would say on the Lakmore side of Springfield, head left from the boat ramp, and I would say maybe 30 yards out from the fenced in community.

Thanks guys. I got my paper work back and I am getting more back than I originally thought. So I think I'm going to go with the LX-6. I just like the idea of having a screen instead of just light. This was a good learning experience

Was just out today, ice was 6-7 in thick off of bonner. We were marking falot of fish, but couldn't catch anything and heard that people on the road bed were not doing well either.

Hey guys, I have a couple questions about Flashers, fish finder, and/or Cameras. With tax season on the way I've been looking into getting a flasher it something to give me an idea of what's under the ice. I've been leaning towards a flasher, because I think it would be a better start to my collection rather than a camera.
With flashers in mind, I want to hear people's opinions on MarCum's LX series vs Vexilar's FL series. Please do not start a slug-fest between the two brands, this post is really meant for me to absorb as much information as possible. Also, if you want to include other brands feel free to do so.

Just making a Forum to see how the ice is on Milton, and to see if anybody is having any luck.

I'm out at Berlin right now. Ice is about 4-5 inches thick left of the state park ramp towards the damn. I don't see any open water where I'm set up at.

As of right now. My partner is indecisive. I'll push an answer out of him Saturday. I'll post wether or not he's coming if somebody wants to form a team.

Have you thought about heading southward on 60 to Blue Rock State Park? Cutler Lake is pretty lively during the year.

I would love to be able to do that! It just all depends wether I work or not. I work second shift in Barberton and usually around 48 hrs a week minimum. It's funny that you mentioned that panfish tournament, that's actually what drew me to this sight. It seemed like everybody knows each other, and everybody was so kind and welcoming to each other. I hope I get a chance to come out and meet some people and some new fishin' buddies, and of course, learn the art of ice fishing.

I'm from the Springfield TWP. area of Akron, just a couple miles from Mogador Reservoir. No. Unfortunately I was unable to bring ice with me. I'm also new to Blogs so if my "Blog etiquette" is improper , please excuse me
