I never went that small until this year.   Bought a about a dozen size 16 and a dozen 14 tungsten earlier this year and have pretty good results so far.   I normally use size 8 or 10 but have downsized this year.  I am a big fan of the tungstons tho.  I use 1 and 2# test and pound them.  They really thump.  I guess it depends on how clear the water is.

Hey 30.  Congrats on marriage.  Plus welcome to the dark side.  All your free time will be consumed on how to pull fish thru a hole in the ice.  Love the fry tip.  Might starting planting that seed soon for next year.

For sure.
I back pack some in the off season and count ounces to lighten my load.  I ice pretty skinny but might take some time later to weigh everything and see what I can lighted.  Anyone know how long a 4.5 amp battery will last on a vex?   That has to cut 2 lbs right there.

Need to go to a happy place.  Shantys, power augers, walleye, bikini's.   Wait bikinis.  That's summer.  Oh No!!!   It's starting!!!

I have been wearing a pedometer all year long for insurance purposes, (First year)  and noticed that on my ice fishing days, I get an average of about 2500 extra steps in.  So when your wife is laughing at you for sitting on the couch posting to IFO or looking at you tube videos on how to catch 16 inch crappie thru the ice regularly, while she does Zumba videos, you can let her know that your going fishing in the morning for your health.
"Keep your stick on the ice, I'm pulling for you. "

The quote is from Red Green.  Great show.

Yeah the snow is rough.  Gotta get runners.  Heard we are looking at 1-4 over the weekend in NE around Medina Co.  I think the warm rain on tues will be good to knock some of the snow down.  Looks like the rest of the week temps drop again and might firm it back up.  Not real long term but for the time being.
If anyone knows Queen Elsa from Frozen, please give her a shout and ask for a little more time.

Mogadore Reservoir / Re: First time at Mogadore

Went out of lansinger last weekend during the snow storm.  If you have a navionics chip there is a small bottle neck in 15fow to the right of the ramp.  Caught a handful of decent crappie and perch on white jigs.  The perch came on minnies.  There were a ton of guys out so walk out with some people and make a few friends.  Then catch up with them later and trade reports to see if either of you should move.  The road back is kinda rough so if you don't have 4wd I don't know if I would chance it.

Hi,
I have been viewing the site for a while and decided to signed up last year as a member.  I felt i looked enough and was not contributing so i took the plunge and enrolled.  I have to say thank you to the guys who organize and put everything together.    This is a great site and I am happy to be part of it.  Dont know too many people who embrace cold feet, frozen fingers, and carbon monoxide poisoning as much as i do.  Hope to meet everyone on the ice at some point.

Just wondered.
Thanks guys.  Looks like I'm flying solo with the weirdo bait.  Just kidding.
Thanks for the input

That spider one looks sweet.  Never used them but would like to try.  I was using a beetle spin body last weekend at mogi and it tricked a few fish.  When they got to the top of the hole, I was like "tricked ya!!!"  Not really but the body did work.

Would be funny to dress up like the kool aid guy and pop into shanties and yell oh yeah!!!! Or like Randy Macho man Savage and yell snap into a slimjim!!!
Ok so it wouldn't be funny if it really happened but I'm at work and the imagination is wandering.
