I'm wondering if anyone has used the Suffix 832 Ice Braid before. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I have been using mono for all types of fishing and wondered about using the ice braid as a target specific type line. Mainly medium to large predatorial fish... Walleye, Saugeye, Sauger ect....

Welcome both of you !!! I believe we are both from the same general area Gimmie Ice!! My home lakes are Spencer Lake and Wellington Upgroud Res. I hail from Lorain county. Send me a PM When you plan on hitting Mosquitto. I have some productive waypoints maked on my GPS. If you would like any info on Spencer or Wellington just give me a shout.
I got all the colds and flus out of the way in my house durring this first short lived spell of Ice. So when we get it back and the forcast doesnt look half bad for the next couple weeks, Ill be more than ready to hit the Ice with a vengance.

I will have a 2 man team plus another single. Do you think the ice will form? All the reports I read mentioned the lake still wide open on 12/14? Most lakes I saw were all ready locked up with 2" clear ice.
Hoping for a deep freeze after this thaw.

Well put. Looks like we may not have to wait to long. The forcast looks decent after this thaw.

The cost for the APP is $9.99... Which is the cheapest piece of electronic gadgetry I have ever bought for fishing. Of course that doesnt include the phone, but thats not what I bought the phone for anyways.... Just a bonus!!!

No need to spend big money on a navionics system. There's an APP for that!!! Haven't put it through the paces yet, but it looks like a great tool. Has many North American lakes as long as they have been topographicaly mapped. This App uses Navionics along with GPS from your phone. I will definetly be using this. I have heard alot of rumbles from Flasher users, of not having an integrated mapping system available. I think this may be the next best, most affordable & outright coolest thing I have downloaded on my phone. I hope someone finds this post as useful.
Just search for NAVIONICS at the play store on your smart phone.
Now all I need is the ICE to stick around!!!

north side had 2.5" off the ramp and off the point. South side had 2" clear ice. This was from Friday Night. Not sure what the snow did to it. Hopefully it mixed with water and tightened up. Be carefull if you get out!!!
Have to got to go to a wedding this weekend so I won't be able to check this week.

What part of ohio is this "clear ice" lol. Here in Lorain County most of the water is wide open due to this pesky wind we have had. We just need 1 day of single digit winds and everything will lock up.

Be weary slab. Just cause they don't wear it doesn't mean they won't skin your tallywacker for melting it down would hate to refer to her as ex wife for a few lures.

Well I already posted this in another thread but here it is again. My secret or otherwise not so secret weapon is a moon jig in glow. Smallest size any color. If they were not so deadly on panfish I don't think Mr Genz would recommend them. The fish below were all caught by me this year on two separate trips all on various moon jigs made by K&E tackle.
