A couple of us are considering heading to Fletchers Pond maybe in January. Seen there seems to be two primary places to stay (Fletcher's Landing and Jack's Landing) are either decent? Are there any places open there to eat or buy food? Is there a close by bait shop open? Do you need transport or is it walkable to decent fishing spots?

A couple of us were talking and wondered if maybe we should look at excluding Crappie and Saugeye from the Big Fish Pot as there are already pots for them. By doing there would be more winners spreading the money around more. I have only been to 5 tourneys but at 4 of those the guy with an eye won that pot and big fish (I was one of them) and at the 5th the Crappie guy won as no eyes were caught. This would give someone who catches only a gill/perch a chance to win. What does everyone think? If the majority think it is a good idea I will bring it up with Dave.

Spent Thursday and Friday. Six guys on Thursday and 3 on Friday with limits caught both days. We probably threw back 200 shorts and even some legals. I ended with with two 27s and a 26.

Waded Nimi today from 10-1. Caught 9 gills 8.5-9 inches. Purple was the color of the day fished 18 inches below a float in 4-5 fow. Lots of short strikes lost the tail off 7 curly tails I was using.

Hit Nimi yesterday and today from around 8-12:30. Found some 9 inch cookie cutter Crappie both days about 2 ft under a float in 4-6 fow using a charteuse curly tail. Caught about 30 yesterday and 25 today.

Hit Nimi in the morning fished 8-1. Took me to about 9:30 to find the Crappie and caught 19 until the wind died down at which time so did the bite. Did spend 45 minutes testing/practicing with the new mini divers I bought to troll with. Other than the Crappie caught a dozen perch, 2 Bass and a couple gills.

Hit Nmi this eveining from 6-11pm. Caught 20 or so Crappie 8-9 inches on a minnow 18 inches under a bobber from the bridge by Eddie's. Caught most in the first hour as the wind died down so did the bite.

Just seen an article that listed the 25 biggest draft busts of all time. Johnny didn't make the list yet there were 6 Browns since they came back that made the list. That's really bad drafting when Johnny isn't even in your team's top 6 worst draft picks.

Hit Nimi from 8-12:30. Fished 3-17 fow using minnies, plastics and crawlers. Caught a bunch of perch with several 10 inchers. Can't find a dang crappie anywhere in the lake.

Went to Sippo this morning with my grandson to test my fish finder out. We hit our usual catfish spot and ended up with 4 cats between 16 and 19 inches. Lost a nice Bass at the boat. After 1.5 hours had to leave as it started raining.

Hit Nimi today with the grandson from 8-11:30. Tried to locate Crappie but couldn't find them again. So figured I would take him to a spot I know where there are big gills this time of year. He ended up skunked I caught a 6 inch Perch and a 17 inch Bass. We tried Minnows, plastics and crawlers and fished anywhere from 3-14 fow.

My old finder on my boat died and I found a wide 100 at a yard sale that had never been opened. Installed it but it isn't working. The manual says something about listing 4 options like startup when you first power on but it isn't doing that. Anyone own one of these that may have an idea what is wrong. If I can find someone with one wouldn't mind meeting up at a lake to swap head units to see if it is the head unit or a bad transducer.

Last year I said I wasn't going again but last week started thinking about going this year. Talked with Nate and he seems to be thinking about it too. Anyone else going to the run this year? Have always stayed at Schroeder's Farm but if I go this year am considering Buttonwood Park. Both are primitive camping but Buttonwood is $5 cheaper and each site has a picnic table and fire ring.
