Title: 1/17
Post by: Mullygyn on January 18, 2015, 11:46:39 AM
I planned this trip for a week and it paid off well. Fished out of catawba 1.5-3.5 miles. Ice was 8 inches consistantly everywhere i went. Current was bad in spots and needed to jig about 4 feet away from flasher to see. No current. No fish. I was able to find several school and stay with them all day. Kept 4 Jacks over 8 and 2 females over 10. Threw over 30 back that were all over 8. My buddy had 1 over 13. Pimples in 22-24fow.
Do your research. Make a plan. Be prepared to adapt.

rickards opened at 530. You can walk. I took 4 wheeler. There are a few compression breaks but didn't give me any trouble.
