Was out Saturday, It was windy and sunny. Fishing was bad on the entire lake. Went over to gas pumps and jigged. No better.

Park entrance is off of Rt 23 in Delaware. Take that road to the very end and marina, boat ramp, and docks are there.

Have to go to Michigan for that. Went to Houghton two years ago, two days after Christmas. 11" of ice.

Only thing that would ruin this is having to visit Hillary after winning world series.

Any word from Dave on dock tournament ? I've been on the docks at Delaware, and there is some potential. 7' is depth. Crappies bigger than Alum. Have to go through the catfish.

Well guys, they've started. Half of the docks have been pulled. Gas pumps side still in tact. I hope Dave has some luck finding a new location.

I haven't fished it in a few years, but used to be a really good walleye lake. I've heard that it's been up and down with the walleye over the last few years. Was also a very good crappie lake.

I thought they would were supposed to have them out by now. Hopefully, they'll move at their normal snail pace, and we'll get a good season in. Was actually at the Delaware docks the other day, and a guy pulled out a 'monster' crappie. So maybe there is another alternative. Glad to hear guys are out there fishing. Maybe they won't pull them all at once, but my guess is that they have to pour the concrete before the water turns to ice.

Any word on the sailboat marina at alum? There are docks with deeper water at the O'shaunessy sailboat marina also. Neither location run by the state.

The yacht club would be great. Would have to get a key for the gate onto the docks.

Well guys, got the bad news in a letter on Friday. Dock holders have to have boats out by September 6th. They're going to pull the docks and start building the new ones. It appears that they are already drawing down. I certainly hope that there is a viable alternative.
