Crv and me started at long Island today.
Started across where someone had already gone but i still was checking with a spud bar. Went about 5 yards and the spud bar went right through. It caught me by suprise and i jump over the spot. Luckily i did not take a bath. This ice is marginal at best and should be checked on the way out and in. Here is the video as we went out. We decided against long Island Ice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RIwuR2nFPg
We left and went to moundwood. We found safer ice but had to work around thin spots. We ended up with 2 Saugeye on Gold and Orange Vibe's. Two others were caught while we were there.
I enjoyed speaking with both of these fisherman and they are going to join the forum. Rob gave us the color that they were hitting on. He caught one on Friday that went over 5lbs. Thanks Rob.
G caught one on a silver and green jigger with a minnow head. He also bought one of the new Jason Mitchell Perch combo's. Thanks G.
Please Remember this ice is only 3 inches thick with spots that might only be an inch. I would not go out unless you have a flotation, rope and spud bar with you.

the hat cams are pretty neat, its nice to be able to relive your catch of the day and share it with others, and if your like dave you can edit out all the fish your buddy caught and just show the 2 or 3 you caught. lol
