Title: Cordless drill adaptor for auger
Post by: Chilly willy on February 05, 2014, 07:57:46 PM
So with the ice thick as heck .... I decided to make an adaptor for my 6 inch hand auger .  A piece of pipe inside , drilled hole for bolt , welded a 3/8 clue is pin on the end to attach to the drill ...... Tried it with my cheap craftsman 18 volt drill last week and it was a dud ! Brought home the 18  volt dewalt hammer drill . Went out to moggy and tried it again ..... 11 inches of ice ....... 7 seconds clean hole !!!! Need to pick up a dewalt !

I use one with my ridgid 18 volt I love it, sure veats hand augin through this stuff and its much more economical than a gas you can average between 6-8 holes per battery depending on battery condition and ice thickness ;D
