Fished  Fri 23rd about 3mi out. didn't catch anything but ice was good (8" or so). Reports were some guys did OK depending on where you stopped. Most agreed a very slow bite. A lot of lookers. There were a lot of guys that walked out a mile or so but I don't know if they did any good. Most of the guys were out farther.

Fished from 28 fow to 20 fow several moves didn't mark a fish. Talked to several other groups with same story. A ton of guys out so I'm sure there will be some good repots. I just couldn't land on them  I stay away from main packs . Maybe some of those groups were on some fish.  Ice was still 18" with 12+ good clear ice. No cracks were open. Some snow in patches but nothing to hinder travel. I think the stiff E NE wind kept everything locked up. Just keep an eye on wind speed and direction. This will affect the cracks. :)

Started out bad by losing my favorite rod on the way out. Went back but was gone already. Went out about 6 1/2 mi S E of West Sister 28 fow. Hooked up with a couple guys from Mich. Very lite bite Gold pimples worked for us. ended up with 14. Two over 9 1/2 lbs rest were 7 plus. Crack right off shore not looking to good. Suggest planks. It was still crossable but I think thats going to change soon. Also chains or studs would really help on the clear ice. I have studs, no problems. Good luck everyone!! :)

Tried near the dam for a couple hrs 3:30 -5:30.marked fish at 11-12 ft in 18 ft of water. Didn't catch anything. Had minnows wax worms & tried Vibee. A couple guys near me pulled one small crappie on a Vibee.  Ice  7" decent. Still want to be cautious out there.
