. Try 3 lb line for panfish crappie should not break it . Fluorocarbon line won't absorb water and has minimal stretch ,

For my money its Marcum . Many more features for your dollar if getting a Flasher . For ease of use and understanding ,its a showdown . Do your research and good luck . Go fishing with different people with different equipment and ask questions .

You can harvest , but be selective . Put back the 9+ gills to keep the gene pool going . Eat the 6,7 and even the 8s .

Releasing larger bluegill , these words are coming from the same persons who put on the panfish series . You weigh in your 5 BIGGEST bluegill . Usually dead or almost dead . Practice what you preach , weigh in alive gills to be released . Fines for un releasable bluegills , loss of points . Also petition the ODNR to start a limit or slot on the larger bluegill . I'm not a bluegill fisherman I will harvest some if I get into them ,let's face it they taste fantastic . Be proactive and turn in the guy throwing fish on the ice and walking away from them ,we all have cell phones .

fishing 101 " Barametric Pressure " effects fish . A raising or falling barameter turns fish on a steady low pressure shuts their mouths . Fishing is like a puzzle , you have to put several pieces together to start to see the end result . Wind , pressure , light level , water temperature and fishing pressure . Wind moves the algae which moves the zoo planting which the baitfish feed on and the fish follow the baitfish . But a bad day fishing beats the heck out of a good day at work .

:)The way the first place team disected the lake will have them in the spotlight a lot. They worked hard and it paid off . True icemen . My hat is off to them . Ice trollers , we should all take their example and become more successful . Great job .

You and Raw buck had everything under control . You need to thank your lovely wife for poster board and paper work she did. It looked great. As for me I finally got to see a walleye come out of Nimisilla . The first place team also caught the big crappie . It was a beautiful white at.14&7/8" great job guys . They earned firsplace and put on a clinic .
