Hockey Puck bait holders

I've drilled several small holes in my worm holders to see if the bait will last longer, I'll let you know later this week. I bought the bait on Sunday and won't be able to go until this Friday weather permitting, I hope it works

For waxworms I keep them cool around 40-50 degrees with good air flow. Shake them around daily and cull out the dead ones. They will last a long time. Maggots are trickier but in the fridge mid 30 degrees. Those you have to stay on top of and make sure to get those dead ones out immediately.

Waxworms good air flow is desired. Maggots you do not want any airflow. That's why maggots are shipped in sealed plastic bags.
I order my grubs maggots and waxworms on line. I dump my waxworms in a gallon container ( 2-250 count tubs) with fresh pine chips added and leave lid off of container.Store in cool room. My fruit cellar works great.
Maggots I add some fresh pine chips and leave in original shipping container.
Keep at 33-35 degrees in fridge.
Remove dead critters if any every few days.
