Title: Lake St. Clair 12/28/13
Post by: ratherbefishing on December 24, 2013, 02:03:08 PM
I'm getting good reports from the Motor City. Ice is stable near shore and big catches of gills are ripe for the taking. Weather outlook is nice for Saturday, so this is our date.

Dan and I will be leaving early to meet anyone else who is going along at Sportsmen's Direct. We intend to be there by 6:30 give or take.

Be sure that you have everything organized and ready because we're going to move early.

Good fishing!

Either Gino's or Metro Beach.

They're getting better fish farther out. Be prepared for a walk.

We're meeting at Sportsmen's Direct at 6:30 Saturday if you'll be up that way.

All in all we did pretty well!  Dan and I caught around 400 fish total. Lots of dinks to sort through at our spot, but we got some massive pumpkinseeds, a good number of jumbos, and a mixed bag of rock, smallmouth and largemouth.
We were out 1/3 mi. Southeast of gino's. Head to sportsmen's direct and they'll have all the information and gear you need. Tell them I sent you.

Good luck! Have a ball!

Sorry for missing this post. I didn't see it until just now.

I got them on a little of everything. Jigging Rap, Jack Spoons, Tungsten and Spike, Swedish Pimple and Minnow Head on a fast-atch. You couldn't really go wrong.

Hope you guys had a good trip. Did you visit Sportsmen's Direct?
