Golden shiner catch them a bunch in portage lakes.

Hmm didn't occur to me that it could be a golden shiner. I've used them for tip up bait but didn't realize that they grew to 10" or bigger. I'm gonna check with the owner of the pond and see if he ever dumped excess lake bait in there.

I think its a blow up golden shiner or possibly a fresh water marlin fingerling :-*

I read online they can grow up to 12" and that they live in ponds.

yes golden shiner, I have them in my pond and catch them all winter, about 9-10" is a really big one usually in the top half of the water column Im always chasing them thinking there crappies, LOL

Salmonid
