Title: Homemade gas powered auger?
Post by: Icebug84 on January 11, 2010, 10:53:23 AM
Has anyone ever tried to make thier own gas powered auger? I'd like to try to mount a motor on mine, and i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas (what to use for a gear box? what kind of clutch?) Any info would be great.

:o maybe a weedeater but it seems like to much money to fab one up i would save up and buy a used one you never know what could happen by putting spinning blades and a motor together it could be nasty

I have seen power drills get converted into augers- and kits you can buy to do it yourself.
