Fished mid-day with my son, Nathan, along with my nephew, Derrick and his 4 yr old daughter, Mattie. Derricks girlfriend, Taylor, came out with a lil home-made anti-freeze for us.

Set up the Clam Nanook & Tip-ups... caught 1 bass, 15". Caught 1 nice, hog Redear measuring 8 1/2"

The bite was slow, but steady all day long.

Filleted 20 gills, 6 Crappie

Mattie was a trooper and had a ball catching gills.

Still "Early Season Ice" and the fish are in the shallow waters.  I'd guess they'd start moving & transitioning to deeper waters (Mid-Season Ice) within the next week or so.

We fished the NW corner. in 5-8 fow.
