Ok guys I've moved the rules and updated them, they are located at the top of this thread. Due to a really tight schedule I'm only gonna be able to schedule 2 events for sure and they will be mosquito reservoir and nimisila reservoir. I am working on permits and dates now. Stay tuned.
-
We will fish 2 events this season the mosquito event will be held on sunday 1-21-18. Check in/weigh in will be held at causeway sporting goods starting at 730am, weigh in will be at 3pm. The nimisila event will be held on sunday 2-18-18. Check in will be held at the christman rd parking lot with the boat launch ( I think it's c-6) at 730am cost is $40 per team or individual.
-
I’ll try to do both. Nimi for sure, but we may be in Florida the 21st of January visiting relatives and deep sea fishing if we can get a house sitter. Will keep you posted.
-
2/18 is big St. Helen in Michigan.
-
That's unfortunate, my schedule only allows me certain dates, hope it doesn't affect the turn out to bad
-
Well nimisila was great this morning! Guess I just need to visit mosquito before the tourney haha
-
Doesn't seem to be as much interest as I was expecting, very interesting. Please post if you are planning on participating! Thanks
-
I have secured all permits and the series is a go
-
As long as I don't work I will fish mosquito and maybe nimisilla
-
What areas on the lakes are open to the tournament?
-
All public access areas are open
-
I can do the Nimmy but not the Mosquito for my son has his Ohio State wrestling Youth tournament that weekend.
-
I'll be attending the tournaments mosquito lake is my back yard. I know a lot of people around here will be attending as well. Can't wait I'm excited
-
Glad to hear it, should be some nice payouts if we have good turnout, lots of prize give always from our great sponsers to! See you guys there!
-
i plan on having a team there....
Since Ive never fished the panfish series I naturally have a few questions....
Pardon my nieveness....
1) does no culling mean "we can only keep the ten fish we plan to weigh in"?
2) will the whole lake be open to the tourney?
3) in what manner should our big fish be marked?
Sorry for the silly questions or if theyve already been answered.
Just want to be prepared when we arrive.
Thanks..

Culling means that you can't change out your fish, if you decide to keep it and it's legal you must weigh it in. If you don't want a fish or it doesn't meet your standards it must be released. I will allow fishing the whole lake but u must use a public access point (i.e. not your grandpa's backyard, your buddies house etc.) It must be from a access everyone could use.
-
If you choose to enter the big fish pot you need to keep that fish separate from the others you are weighing in to keep the process going
-
Well guys we are about 6 days away from the mosquito event, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. Take a few minutes to review the rules so you are all set for the tournament. Lots of cool give always from our Awsome sponsors!! See you Sunday. Check in starts around 7am.
-
Nate do fish have to be alive or just not frozen? Keeping fish alive will require people to have aerators and I'm not sure they'll work well in freezing temps.
-
They just can't be frozen solid like they were caught 3 days prior to the tournament ;D
-
Ok guys only a few days until the mosquito event! Looking forward to seeing you all! Please remember to show some support to causeway sporting goods with bait, snacks etc. They have put together some nice prize packages for us! Thanks to all.
-
I’m interested in the Nimisila event
-
Thanks to all who joined us at the mosquito reservoir tournament and made it a huge success again this season! I will post pictures and results on monday!!
-
What no pictures?
-
I will get them up soon as I can, I've been moving! Patience please!
