Was able to fish Buckeye today there is a good solid 4 inches of ice. I caught one Saugeye one crappie and one bluegill fishing was slow but nice to be on the ice.
Okay fellas, I know everybody is Jonesing to go. Please be patient wait that extra day or two it is not worth having your loved one start off the new year by burying you. Give it an extra couple days or so to freeze up nice and thick no fish I don't care how damn big it is is worth your life. I saw a post of people walking on 2 in of ice and tethering themselves off to trees with ropes that is just simple fellas.
We can't catch a brake it's going to get cold and now it's going to snow. Now we have to pray for no ice until after the snow cause we don't want snow on top of ice that's just starting that will give us a really bad base ugh.
No fish no fish, twelve hours on the ice and not a single flag one giant catfish that's it. Nobody is catching anything lots of very good anglers out today and nobody caught anything some dink gills that's it. If you can work go make some money lol.
