So I was wondering,been a long long time since I ice'd,lived in MI,as a kid.in the "thumb".Under 90 minutes to the west,north,and east to Huron.Was told 6"lazer was way 2 go.As I sat in the shanty,with no gaff,and a nice cat latched on,could we make a TV series of "Ice Noodling"?Whiskered Wonder being the host of course,lol..............................

Oh yeah,on that note,kept meaning to pm you Slabslayer on that 5# Bass,what size auger you use and do I need to add a gaff to next years grocery list?That was nice!!!

I have an 8" power auger.  I didn't use a gaff on the bass, but I have one. If you want to do any walleye fishing, I don't recommend lip landing them!  ;D :o. A gaff is the only way to go for the toothy fish!
