just a reminder for all , there is a great number of new members this year and the ice is active. I want to remind everyone that your shanty must have your name and address attatched to the outside . dnr rules.. and we all know we don't want to give our money away... its a small thing that can be easily missed . especially by new icers.  see you out there guys .....
the time you spend fishing cannot be deducted from your life...

Thanks Snow. Same goes for your tip ups. Sad that they will fine you while your sitting there for a rule that was developed for shanties and tip ups that were set up over night.

Me neither, my shanty is good to go, but my riggers and tip ups don't have my name on it yet. Good reminders, thanks!

Thank you for the heads up. I had no idea such a law exist. I have a pop up ground blind that I thought about taking out. I get not wanting people to leave those items out over night but to fine a person that is in it...... pathetic.

I know that you need to have them on tip-ups. I dont see that in the rule book. Where can I find this info?

 1. Have a valid Ohio fishing license

 2. Know catch limits for the species you are fishing

 3. Anglers can have two hand-held rods and six tip-ups at
    one time

 4. Every tip-up must display the angler’s name and address

 5. Ice holes can be no larger than 12-inches in diameter

I use those address stickers the Veterans send in the mail for my tip ups.

Some clear packing tape helps hold them on.
