Title: Where to fish???Illinois DNR Wildlife Mgrs Coming in Town
Post by: pomisbait on January 09, 2010, 07:02:05 PM
Hey all,

My Dad is a Site Superintendent for a 17,000 acre lake and State Park in Illinois.  Next weekend (1/16) he's bringing a group of DNR managers and other park Superintendents to Ohio for some perch and 'eye ice fishing.  I'm thinking of hitting Indian Lake, but have ZERO "ice-time" on that lake.  I've been watching the forums, but I'm looking for suggestions/direction.

I know that everybody likes to stay tight-lipped about certain things, but I'm looking for any do's or don't do's.  None of us are use to fishing the shallow waters like those found at Indian Lake, so heading to deep water isn't necessarily the ticket?

Please help me NOT look like an idiot in front of my father and his co-workers.  I'll never live it down!  hahaha.

Thanks to anyone that can help point me in a direction to locations, bait, lures, etc.
