Fished today about 50 yards off the causeway on about 4 inches of ice. 6 fow murky. Farther than that was not safe. Didnt catch anything but was great to be on the ice

Ive had this auger in the barn forever (ardis quick digger 60g) and have been trying to get it going. Its pretty much ancient but I ve read online that people are still using them. My great grandparents used it in wisconsin and it worked great. My problem is it wont get a spark and im sure if i can get it to it will start right up. Any input? anyone ever heard of one of these?

I went last year in hopes of catching smelt (which we did) and ended up catching steelhead also. We went back a few times and always got at least a few. It was near cleveland i forgot the name of the boat launch but you just fish inside of the harbor, in about 4 or 5 feet of water(you can see the bottom the water is really clear) I will ask my buddy the name of the place we went and let you know, its a blast.

Just gathered all the ice gear and organized my Poles and tackle, opened the shanty and gave it a soap/water bath, and set it up ready to go in the basement
