It was probably weird because you were catching fish.  ;D As for wanting a longer handle for it give me a call today if you get a chance and I can get you all fixed up.

Very nice. Thats the best thing you can do is spend quality time on the ice with your kids. My oldest son is turning 4 in March and I can not wait for there to be safe ice to take him out for his first trip on the ice. With the ice being so sketchy around me this season I have just been to nervous to take him out. If something was to happen to him because it wasnt safe I could never forgive myself and even if everything was ok he would probably be scared for life and wouldnt want to go again.

Yes. The pic is much better. Thank you very much. I would call that fish 9 1/2 not 7 1/2  ;D Very nice fish. That will make a mighty fine fish sandwich.

I have noticed it several times lately that the pictures being posted are not being resized. All pics need to be resized before being posted. The correct size for a posted pic is 640 x 480. It is a very simple process to resize your pic. If you are on a computer you can go to a website like resizepic.com. The website will walk you thru step by step on how to do it. If you are using a mobile device you can either set your camera functions to take the pic at the correct size or you can use one of the several free apps to do it for you. When you dont resize your pic it shows up to large on the screen and can not be viewed correctly. Also if its not resized Dave has to take time out of his day to resize and repost your pic. This topic has been talked about hundreds of times yet it still continues to happen. I keep seeing post of how members want this and that to changed about the website but those things will never happen when he has to spend his free time resizing your pictures. Again please resize your pictures before posting them. If you have a question or further instruction about how to do it please message Dave, myself or one of the other moderators here and we will help you out the best we can. Here are some links to resizeing your pictures that I use and there are hundreds of others out there that will suit your needs.

 I use  http://resizepic.com/  on my laptop/home computer

I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.iudesk.android.photo.editor   on my cell phone and tablet

I do know that if you dont resize the image Dave has do it himself. If Dave had to resize your pic he may have put the wrong pic up. Thats why all pics have to be resized before being posted. If you dont Dave has to to do it. If the pic is to big you cant see it correctly. All pics need to be resized to 640 x 480. There are many different ways to do it. If your on your computer you can go to resizepic.com or other websites like it or if your using a mobile device I use a free app called photo editor on android.

General Discussion / How did you find IFO
« on: January 29, 2013, 08:05:30 AM »
I am curious to find out all the different ways of how you found the greatest ice fishing forum on the internet. If you were doing a internet search or you met a member that told you about IFO or from a bait shop or any other way. If you were introduced by a member let us know who it was and where or a bait shop which one were you at. I found this website just a couple of months after it was launched when I googled "ice fishing forums''. I was a member of ice shanty but there was not a lot of guys or info from ohio on there and was on OGF and but was looking for something that I liked better. I have really enjoyed IFO since I got here and spend over half of my internet time on this site alone. This site helps so many ice fisherman and has by far the best group of any people around that are willing to help you out in any way. This site is almost as important to my ice fishing success as my marcum. I have grown so much as an ice fisherman from all of you sharing all of your info on what works and doesnt and all the different tactics that are used. That is why all the details you put in your reports are so important. Its not just that people are trying to find places to fish. Its also people learning different tactics to fishing and meeting guys from all parts of the state so no matter where you go you always have a friend on the ice which makes this dangerous sport that much safer.

its best to resize them to 640 x 480. If you have a smart phone or tablet you can use an app to make it easier. I use a free app called photo editor on my motorola xoom tablet thats android os. There are a lot of other free apps that will make it easy to resize your pics before you post them.

I would call it 7 1/2 myself. I think he either hit a wrong key or most likely caught several gills and took pics with the biggest ones thru out the day and posted the wrong pic of a smaller fish. Its a honest mistake  ;D. Its unlike the guy who tried to cheat 2 years ago that cut his tape and laid his fish on top of the cut. What he didnt realize is that the 2 separate pieces of the tape were on 2 different angles. Also if you take a piece of paper and mark what 1 inch is and then duplicate to make a ruler thats to scale of the pic and remeasure the fish. LOL. Several people called him on it and I havent seen a cheater that I have noticed since. I think Im going to try to find that old post again. Nice catch and if thats the wrong post up the right one. Even if that is the right pic its a nice fish.

@slabslayer. We were planning on just fishing the cribs  by the road but seeing that the fishing is starting to pick up we are going to stick it out here. I had no plans what so ever to crossing that lake. I need a good 6 inches to want to try it.  ;D

Ice is 4 inches where I'm at. Eye4aneye is almost to the roadbed and is on 3 inches. Starting to get a few bites. I've caught 2 short crappies and this white bass. It put up one hell of a fight on 1 lb test line
